DIY Whipped Shea Butter with Lavender

This classic recipe for body butter with shea butter is great for all skin types, it deeply moisturizes the skin without clogging pores.

Instructions

  1. Using a double boiler on low heat, melt the shea butter until it is liquid
  2. Add in apricot oil, almond oil and vitamin E and mix well
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool for a few minutes, to about 90 degrees F
  4. Add in lavender and lemongrass essential oils and mix
  5. Once you start to see a trace in the mixture, whip it up for a few minutes
  6. Cover the mixture and put it in the fridge until firm
  7. Now whip the mixture to make it nice and fluffy
  8. Scoop into your jar or container and seal. Store at room temperature in an area away from direct sunlight

Uses and Benefits

Apply after a shower or bath to the desired area and allow to soak in. Can also be applied throughout the day for additional moisture. Makes your skin silky smooth and helps repair damaged skin.
