Mango Butter is a very versatile cosmetic butter. It is packed with nutrients, lightweight and has almost no smell at all. Perfect for DIY creations such as body butters, salves, creams and balms.

About Mango Butter
Mango Butter comes from the fruit of the Mangifera Indica botanical (also known as the Mango Tree) in India, it is considered to be India’s “King of Fruits”. The center of the Mango fruit seed is where this emollient butter is extracted from. It is then mechanically refined and deodorized to make it safe for use on the skin. This process is done without the use of chemicals so maintains the butter as 100% natural and pure.
Mango Butter is rich with antioxidants, fatty acids and vitamins that nourish the skin and boost its elasticity and suppleness. In this way it can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also known to boost the skin’s luster and natural radiance while reducing the appearance of dark spots.
This butter is a rich semi solid vegan butter that can be used on its own as a moisturizer but is also an ideal ingredient for making body butters, lotions, balms, and hair care products. Its gentle quality makes it a great choice for sensitive skin while also being safe for all skin types.
Jojoba Oil is packed with nourishing properties that moisturize the skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple. Jojoba Oil is well known for having a composition that closely resembles sebum, the naturally created substance in human skin which helps to keep it moisturized. For this reason it is easily accepted and safe for all skin types.
Apricot Oil is a light, delicate carrier oil that moisturizes dry, sensitive skin. It is packed with vitamins and antioxidants that help diminish fine lines, wrinkles and blemishes. It is also well known for restoring natural skin radiance and decreasing puffiness and dark circles.
Almond Oil is a nutrient rich carrier oil. It deeply moisturizes and protects the skin, keeping it hydrated and supple. The vitamins and fatty acids in this oil promote collagen production and help restore natural skin radiance. This oil is non-comedogenic so does not clog pores and is particularly effective in diminishing scars, blemishes and soothing irritation.
Whipped Mango Body Butter Recipe
- 6 oz Mango Butter
- 4 oz Jojoba Oil, Apricot Oil or Almond Oil
- 40 drops of essential oil of choice
How to Make:
- Cut up Mango Butter into small pieces and put into a mixing bowl
- Pour in your carrier oil and essential oil and mash ingredients together until blended well
- Using an electric mixer whip the ingredients on low for a couple minutes
- Increase speed of the mixer to high for a couple more minutes or until the body butter reaches the desired consistency
- It is now ready! Scoop into your final containers, cover with a lid and store in a cool dry place.
To use, clean the area of the body in need, pat dry and apply body butter. Allow to soak in. Use once a day or more if needed.
