Saying Cocoa butter just makes you want to cook up something chocolate, doesn’t it? We call our products Skin Foods, because, well–they are! Though it sounds edible, it’s not actually chocolate yet. Rich cocoa butter is obtained from fermented, roasted, and separated whole cocoa beans.
So what’s Cocoa Butter got to do with skin care? Stretch marks, my friend! Cocoa butter is the leading ingredient in commercial stretch mark creams and lotions. It reduces their appearance by penetrating layers of skin, repairing and hydrating like no other. Our organic, North American grown Cocoa Butter is unrefined and 100% pure–no chemicals or diluted product here. Just the real deal!
Go ahead–indulge today and show off your radiant, rejuvenated skin!
Cocoa trees were first cultivated in Mexico all the way back to 1500 BC, but only fairly recently has cocoa butter become known as a skin care ingredient.
Unrefined Cocoa Butter has the ability to deeply absorb into the layers of your skin, far beyond any other butter, for this reason cocoa butter is the key ingredient in all stretch mark creams on the market.
It is also packed with anti-oxidants and fatty acids which helps create a barrier against free radicals. If you suffer from dry cracked skin or skin irritation, cocoa butter can help, sooth, and repair your skin.

How to use Cocoa Butter
Drop a pea-size dollop of cocoa butter in your hands and rub together to melt, and then apply directly to the skin. If you whip it into one of our luscious body butter recipes, apply much as you would any other cream. We recommend you use a wooden or plastic spatula or spoon to dip into your lotion or cream container.
Cocoa butter can also be used to tame frizzy and unruly hair. Melt a small amount in your hands, scrunch into or run over your hair to moisturize, smooth and shine.
Storing Cocoa Butter
Store Cocoa Butter in its original container or place in a plastic or glass jar with a lid. Keep it in a cool, dry place out of the sunlight. As long as the temperature is below 75 degrees there is no need to keep it refrigerated. Cocoa Butter has an average shelf life of 24 months.
