African Black Soap has incredible benefits for irritated skin: it calms eczema and acne break outs, while at the same time cleaning and moisturizing your skin. Our authentic Black Soap is handmade in Africa following traditional recipes to make it the best choice for all skin types. Black Soap is free of synthetic ingredients, fragrances any junk ingredients. And, best of all, it contains Unrefined Shea Butter to keep your skin nourished.
Authentic Black Soap has a distinctive color which comes from its main ingredients–the ash of palm bark and plantain leaves. The leaves and bark are first sun dried, then roasted at an even temperature. Palm kernel oil, water, and Shea Butter are also added; and then the soap is left to cure. Our African black soap is hand made in West Africa, where different tribes and communities use their own secret blends of cooking techniques and oils to create this unique product. And as always, this soap is chemical-free, the way nature intends.

How to Use Black Soap
Our Black Soap is packaged in a large 1 LB brick. To use it, cut off a small sliver, leave the rest in its original packaging and store in a cool place. Use the sliver of soap when washing your hands, face or body until the small piece of soap is used up. Repeat by cutting off another piece of soap, and continue that way until you have it all used up! Black Soap is free of any synthetic ingredients that would normally “hold” a soap together, so it’s best to use small pieces at a time.
